If you retire with a pension from the Essex Regional Retirement System, you are guaranteed access to health care. To make your life easier we can deduct your monthly health insurance cost directly from your pension and forward your payment to the appropriate location. • If you retired from a town or school, you would obtain your insurance from that Town.
  Contact the Town's payroll coordinator, if you have questions.
• If you retired from Essex County, you would obtain your insurance from the Group Insurance Commission.
• If you retired from a housing authority, you would obtain your insurance from the Group Insurance Commission.
• If you retired from a water district, you would obtain your insurance from that water district office.

Additionally, if you are planning on moving out of state, make sure that the health care plan you have will be honored in another state.
