Buy-back of Refunded Pension Contributions Request Form


If you have returned to public service and you had taken a refund of your previous contributions, you may be entitled to buy-back your retirement contribution refund.


Elisa Hockenhull will handle your buy-back request. You will have to repay the amount you took as a refund plus 4.25% in interest for every year since the refund was taken. We will mail you a make-up calculation after you submit the following information. If your refund was taken from another retirement board Massachusetts they must approve your request to buy-back your service before proceeding.


You may write a check for the amount of the buy-back or transfer funds from an eligible retirement plan, such as a 457, 401K or 403B. Use the pre-tax rollover form for that.
