The Retirement Board has received Senator Kerry’s response to our request of his position on Social Security Reform

Social Security reform, requiring mandatory coverage for new employees, will devastate town budgets and unfairly force our members to contribute an additional 6.45% of their salary to Social Security. The Essex Regional Retirement Board wrote to Senator Kerry asking him to inform us on his position on mandatory Social Security coverage.
