Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission is the state agency created to provide oversight, guidance, monitoring and regulation of the Massachusetts public pension system.  PERAC oversees the operations of all local and regional public retirement systems in the Commonwealth, including the Essex Regional Retirement System.

Massachusetts Association of Contributory Retirement Systems is an independent nonprofit organization designed to promote the rights and benefits of public retirement systems and to uphold the public interest in the proper administration of retirement systems in Massachusetts.

Pension Reserves Investment Management (PRIM) Board manages the Pension Reserves Investment Trust (PRIT) fund in which over 90% of the assets of the Essex Regional Retirement System are presently invested.

Division of Administrative Law Appeals (DALA)is an independent agency that conducts due process adjudicatory hearings for other Massachusetts state administrative agencies.  Members who have a disagreement with a decision of the Essex Regional Retirement System may appeal that decision to DALA within 15 days of receiving notice.  A notice of a decision by ERRS will contain a member's appeal rights and instructions for filing an appeal.

Group Insurance Commission is an agency of the Executive Office of Administration and Finance which provides health insurance and other benefits to employees and retirees.

Northern Essex Registry of Deeds Office provides information on properties and programs that may be of assistance, including Homestead Act forms.

Southern Essex Registry of Deeds Office provides information on properties and programs that may be of assistance, including Homestead Act forms.
